Xiaxue-ism November 16, 2007

Like I said before in my last entry, games are sometimes not just a game. It’s really a wonder how much drama alone can be stirred up just by playing a game. Yesterday again I had a argument with AHP, nasty one. It’s a definite all out war with him this time.

Anyway that is not my main priority for today, I noticed Xiaxue-ism in a particular GE blog today. Even the the game’s community manager happily dubbed the blogger the “xiaxue of GE”

I went along to take a little look at the blog and there was this uncanny resemblance of xiaxue writing the blog alright, GE style. And those questioning who is xiaxue, here’s a short introduction. She’s a famous or infamous (frankly I don’t know either) Singaporean blogger who blogs about controversial issues daringly, excessively and also about her glamorous life’s ups and downs melodramatically.

So “popular” indeed that on one occasion when her Blogspot account got hacked and all the entries deleted, Blogspot and Google apparently came to her aid and rollbacked everything. Wow, I mean how often is it your complaints can reach the head of Google via Email?

So far I found a couple of blogs that engages in xiaxue-ism. Basically from what I observed you need one of the following factors (not necessarily all) to be eligible:

  1. Drama
  2. Explosive controversial issues
  3. Interesting choice of vocabulary
  4. Witty
  5. cam whores!
  6. Drama
  7. Your oh-so exciting life

Here are some blogs I know of fulfilling some of these factors:

http://www.cheeserland.com/

A more mild version of xiaxue-ism. Lots of witty posts containing interesting choices of vocabulary. And yes, it’s cam whore heaven, and also the most important point to note the blogger, Cheesie has a quite exciting life. Drama and controversial issues wise are lacking, though not totally not existing

Xiaxue-ism factor: 7.5/10

http://lifeinge.wordpress.com/

It is literally xiaxue style but minus the cam whore factor and oh-so exciting life bits. It really touches on controversial issues, controversial in a sense to the game but not much to reality but it still counts heh.

Xiaxue-ism factor: 8/10

Before I continue, please don’t kill me, this is my opinion xD

Cam whore factor is on the rise recently due to the blogger’s increasing love of Photography. Normal degree of ‘exciting’ life and drama. Controversial factor still varies but posts remain witty, and friendly.

Xiaxue-ism factor: 3/10

Of course last but not the least, no one than the Queen herself.

She fulfills all factors to the max! If she can fail her own requirements something is definitely wrong. Go read her blog when feel like experiencing a little drama but have none around you, yes including the reason to read if those drama serials are not airing!

Xiaxue-ism factor: 11/10?

OH urgh. God forbid.
I started blogging wayyyy before Xiaxue. Don’t even classify me into her category – repeat, ever.

Want real camwhores? People who really love the camera-drop-dead-and-I-still-love-camera bloggers? Note that I love my camera, not the other way round.

Then go check out “http://celestechen.com/” or perhaps “http://the-miracle-season.blogspot.com”.
